So it is no wonder that now – three years from the World Gymnaestrada – the national government, the Vorarlberg provincial government and Dornbirn‘s town council are already supporting us. Moreover, numerous partners from Vorarlberg businesses want to share the values of the Gymnaestrada and have put their trust in us with their support. 2007 and 2019 in Dornbirn - the real spirit of the Gymnaestrada
The first Gymnaestrada 2007 in Dornbirn was an outstanding success for the participants, organisers and the Province of
Vorarlberg! This gave us the courage to make another application for the World Gymnaestrada 2019.
The decision from the World Gymnastics Federation FIG was unanimously in favour of Dornbirn and Andre Geissbühler, FIG‘s General Secretary justified the decision by saying “the real spirit of the Gymnaestrada lies in Vorarlberg!”
Rich in experience and a new chance
Thanks to the success of 2007, we can draw on a wealth of experience and count on the positive support from the Vorarlberg population. This gives us a safety net but at the same time ample and fascinating scope to fi nd new ideas and incorporate them. The World Gymnaestrada 2019 should not be a copy of its predecessor but to use the bonus of 2007 and to improve it.

Show your colours! – this is the motto and inspiration for the World Gymnaestrada 2019, and our guideline on the way to the grand world gymnastics festival in July 2019 in Dornbirn, Vorarlberg, Austria. With a professional team, relying on their experience from 2007 and adding new ideas, and with thousands of motivated volunteers and a enthusiastic audience as a base, the World Gymnaestrada 2019 will be remembered to be the most colourful, most friendly and best organized World Gymnaestrada of all times – for the participants, but also for all the visitors from Vorarlberg, Austria and from all over the world! Our motto is reflecting this claim, asking all people involved to show their best – in gymnaestic shows, in hospitability and in openness.
